Mid-Season Report

We have reached the halfway point of the season and what a competitive season it is! We have one undefeated team leading in each division and one team that has yet to taste victory! The rest of the teams are mashed up somewhere in the middle?! All of the teams are playing for the chance to join the exclusive club and call themselves TDS Champions!

Week 1: It was quite a day! After our winter break teams were ready to play. Jeremy Lee’s 37pt performance was the high in the Asian Open League but it came in a loss to the Bulls who had a total of 7 players score at least 7pts and Alvin Lin’s 32pt 11reb we’re tops as the SF Warriors began their season with a 74-64 victory over Bangarang in D3!

Week 2: The two headed monsters came out to play for Boogie! Prabe Bolaria (21p 10r) and Ant Navarette (24p 11r) we’re more than enough to beat SF Fire! In D3, Drew (Bangarang) has a game high 30pts but Terrance Ching answered with 27pts as he led the Threat Matrix to a 3pt victory, 70-67!

Week 3: It was raining (inside the gym) all because of Jovelle (Bulls)! He was hitting from everywhere as he shot 9-15 from 3pt land! Jon Gitano had a big day for the Saints! His 32pts led all scorers in a 63-49 victory! In a grudge match, Adonis Bulanhagui would not let his team lose to Kyle Dayanghirang and Make It Drizzle. He connected on 12-12 from the free throw line to complete the comeback, 44-41!

Week 4: Arakel Panos had 26pts on 11-18 fgs but Nick Wong scored a season high 38pts for a depleted Ranger Squad as they went on to win by 11pts, 74-63! Ant Navarette had an amazing day! He had a 30/20 day with 30pts and 21rebs! Wow! Having the high scorer doesn’t equal a victory this season in D3, Brandon Tahir scored 29pts but lost on a last second layup by the SF Warriors and Dom Fernandez of the SF Hoopers had 24pts and 10rebs in a loss versus Make It Drizzle!

If the first half of the season was this good, I can’t wait to see what happens in the second half! Let’s go! #TDS
