Asian Lower Division Champions: Bucket Heads

A long season has come to an end! Surprising the pack was the #7 seeded Bucket Heads who went all the way and took home the ‘ship!

This is how the championship game was formed. Led by Uriel, #9 Team Matrix was the Cinderella story of the season. First they beat #8 Guap in a close game, followed by a surprising upset of the #1 overall seed and undefeated  Then they dispatched the #4 Jackson Arms leaving them one win away from glory!

On the other side of the bracket were the #7 Bucket Heads. Their road to the finals were paved by victories over: #10 Bangarang, #2 SF Warriors and #6 Saints (who played this game w/o top scorer Gio). Their victories were all great games for both teams but the Bucket Heads prevailed! On to the championship matchup!

#7 Bucket Heads up against #9 Team Matrix! Both teams were at full strength and ready to take home the ‘ship! The halftime score was Bucket leading by a slim margin, 27-24. Lead by Stephon, the Finals MVP, the Bucket Heads put the clamps on Team MX. Holding them to 7pts in the third quarter! The 14-7 3rd was the difference in the game! Their stifling defense was able to hold their top scorer, Bobby, to 6pts which was well below his average! Dave Kim tried all he could to pick up the slack. He scored a game high 17pts in a losing effort. The combo of Stephon, BJ and Tristan were too much for Team MX to overcome!

Congratulations to the captain, Tone Arce and the rest of the Bucket Heads!
